“Casa Leopardi” B&B is situated in the heart of Florence historical city centre, in Via Verdi 11 (Verdi St., 11),  not so far from the Cathedral, Piazza Santa Croce, Piazza della Signoria and the Uffizi Art Gallery.

from the railway station ...

Santa Maria Novella Railway Station is the main node of the public transport network in and out of Florence. From the station you can reach Via Verdi:

• by taxi (about 5 minutes, average fare 8 euros
• by bus (line 23, bus stop in front of the Post Office
• on foot, following the directions below for a 25 minutes walk: once out of the Station cross the street in front of you, turn right into Via Panzani and then into Via de' Cerretani; walk until you reach Piazza del Duomo. Once there, walk along Via dell’Oriuolo to Piazza Salvemini. When you are in the square, turn right next to the traffic-light. You will be in Via Verdi. You will find “Casa Leopardi” B&B at number 11.

by car (from the A1 motorway) ...

• Take the exit "Firenze sud". Once out, follow the S.P. 127 for about 3 km and then the sign for Florence. After having crossed the bridge, as soon as you reach the traffic-light, turn left and follow the signs for the “Lungarni” and the “Centro”. When you reach the Lungarno della Zecca Vecchia drive on to Corso dei Tintori, which you find immediately after the Piazza dei Cavalleggeri, alongside the Biblioteca Nazionale (National Library).
• WATCH OUT! By turning into Corso dei Tintori you will enter the ZTL area (the ZTL is an area of the city centre restricted to traffic). You can drive into only if you park your car in a garage.
  At the end of Corso dei Tintori, when you see the traffic signal, turn right into Via De Benci which becomes Via Verdi after two hundred metres. At number 11 you will find “Casa Leopardi” B&B.

from the airport ...

If you fly to Florence your flight will land at the Amerigo Vespucci Airport, in Peretola. From the airport you can take either a taxi or you can use the shuttle bus service to reach Santa Maria Novella Railway Station in about 25'. Shuttle bus has no intermediate stops up to the station and it leaves every 30 minutes from the airport. Shuttle service is not available on Christmas, New Year's Day, Easter and May 1st.
Tickets can be bought inside the terminal coffee bars.

Once you are at the station, you can reach Via Verdi 11:

• by bus (line 23, bus-stop in front of the Post Office)
• on foot, as explained above in the “From the railway station” section
